Description
Stainless lock lever with an upright pivot shaft
This lock component uses a long cylindrical shaft attached to a flat lever arm. The shaft acts as the pivot or actuator axis, while the plate end provides a second connection point. Their perpendicular relationship is the key to smooth movement.
Depending on the design, the shaft and arm can be produced as one machined part or joined before final sizing. The drawing should make the finished datum relationship clear regardless of the manufacturing route.
Key dimensions to define
Control shaft straightness and perpendicularity to the lever face.
Define the hole or slot at the far end of the lever from the shaft axis.
Specify the shaft diameter and any fitted section used in a bearing or lock body.
