Frequently Asked Questions

You Have Questions. We Have Answers.

Practical answers about custom metal parts, manufacturing processes, materials, quality control, quotation, production and OEM cooperation.

We are the original manufacturer with 20 years of experience.
Yes. Our casting and machining capabilities allow us to manufacture components with complex geometries, intricate features and demanding dimensional requirements. The appropriate process is selected according to the part design, material and production requirements.
TIANHUI MACHINE provides a range of metal manufacturing processes, including investment casting, sand casting, die casting, CNC machining and forging. We can help customers select the appropriate process based on part geometry, material, tolerance, production volume and application requirements.
Yes. We can support prototype, sample, small-batch and production orders. The most suitable production method depends on the part design, quantity, tooling requirements and target cost.
Yes. We manufacture custom components according to customer drawings, samples, specifications and technical requirements. OEM projects can be supported from design review and process selection through production, inspection and delivery.
Yes. If you do not have a drawing, you can send us an original sample for evaluation. We can use the sample as a reference for dimensional measurement and drawing development before production.
Yes. We can review customer CAD or 3D files and support design modifications when required for manufacturing, functionality or process optimization.
Our casting capabilities include stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel. Material selection depends on the component's application, mechanical requirements, corrosion resistance and manufacturing process.
For forging applications, available materials include stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, aluminum and brass.
Yes. Through our sand casting production capability, we can support gray iron and ductile iron components.

Typical gray iron grades include:

HT150, HT200, HT250, HT300 and HT350.

Typical ductile iron grades include:

QT400, QT450, QT500 and QT600.

Material grades should be confirmed according to the customer's drawing, specification and application requirements.
Our currently stated production range includes:

Material / Process Maximum Size Maximum Weight
Stainless Steel Parts 700 × 700 × 700 mm 200 kg
Carbon Steel Parts 1000 × 1000 × 1000 mm 350 kg
Sand Castings Ø1500 × 2000 mm 4,000 kg

These represent maximum stated capabilities. Smaller and lighter components can also be manufactured.

For a specific part, we recommend sending the drawing or 3D model so our engineers can confirm manufacturability.
Yes. You can send us a physical sample for evaluation. We can measure the sample and develop the necessary drawing information as a basis for quotation and production.
Yes. We can evaluate an existing component, measure its critical dimensions and develop drawing information for manufacturing. Additional material, tolerance and application information may be required to ensure the replacement part meets the intended requirements.
Yes. Our engineers can review the design from a manufacturing perspective and identify potential issues related to casting, forging, machining, tolerances, wall thickness, part geometry and production requirements.
The more technical information available, the more accurate the quotation can be.

We normally recommend providing:

Part drawings or 3D models
Material and material grade
Required quantity
Annual or forecast volume, if available
Dimensional tolerances
Surface finish requirements
Inspection requirements
Applicable standards or specifications
Packaging requirements
Required delivery date

If you have a drawing and are unsure which manufacturing process is appropriate, you can send the part to us for evaluation.
For a standard RFQ containing the necessary technical information, we normally aim to provide a quotation within two working days.

For RFQs involving more than ten different part types or complex technical requirements, additional time may be required for engineering review and costing.
Yes. We can support mixed orders involving different models or part types, subject to production requirements and order quantities.

For smaller quantities, the appropriate manufacturing process will be evaluated based on tooling, setup and production economics.
Yes. Sample production can be arranged before mass production. Inspection reports and sample photographs can be provided for customer review according to the project requirements.
Payment terms depend on the project, tooling requirements and order type.

For sample orders or projects requiring tooling, an agreed tooling or sample payment may be required before production begins.

For mass production orders, a typical arrangement may be 30% T/T before production and 70% balance against a copy of the B/L, subject to the final commercial agreement.
Quality control is integrated throughout the manufacturing process, from engineering review and material verification to production inspection and final dimensional verification.

Inspection requirements can be established according to customer drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Yes. Inspection documentation can be provided according to project requirements. For sample and production orders, inspection reports and supporting photographs can be supplied when required.
Yes. TIANHUI MACHINE has CMM inspection capability for precision dimensional measurements that may require greater accuracy than conventional measuring tools.

For critical dimensions, inspection requirements can be defined according to customer drawings and specifications.
Yes. For projects requiring formal quality documentation, we can support PPAP and Control Plan requirements according to customer specifications and project needs.
We treat customer drawings, technical information and product data as confidential business information.

We may use photographs of manufactured components for website or marketing purposes only where appropriate. If a customer requires that its products, parts or project information not be publicly displayed, this requirement can be respected.

For projects requiring formal confidentiality arrangements, specific confidentiality requirements can be discussed before production.
Depending on shipment size, destination and delivery requirements, commonly used express carriers may include:

DHL, FedEx, TNT and UPS.

We select an appropriate shipping method based on delivery requirements and overall transportation cost.
If a product is determined to be non-conforming against the agreed drawings, specifications or quality requirements, we will work with the customer to evaluate the issue and determine an appropriate corrective solution.

For disputed quality issues, independent third-party inspection can also be considered where mutually agreed.
Yes. Packaging requirements can be discussed according to the product, transportation method and customer's specifications.

For OEM projects, customized packaging can also be considered where required.
es. Depending on the product and project requirements, OEM services can include product marking such as laser marking and customized packaging.

Specific requirements should be confirmed during the quotation stage.
