Description
Pipeline elbow and threaded retaining components
This product group includes an elbow-style connector and matching threaded ring parts. The sealing and connection geometry is more important than the external shape, so thread form, bore transition and mating shoulder dimensions should be clearly defined.
Connection-focused machining
Threaded pipeline parts benefit from gauging against the actual specified standard rather than a generic thread callout. Intersecting bores should also be deburred so loose chips or sharp edges are not left inside the flow path.
Critical relationships in the part
- Specify each thread standard, size and engagement length.
- Control the internal bore through the elbow and any transition between different diameters.
- Define the seating face or shoulder used by the mating ring or seal.
