Description
Compact stainless housing with an internal drive profile
This motor-housing component is more than a simple sleeve. It has a cylindrical outer body, an internal shaped cavity and external tabs or locating features. The internal profile and outer locating surfaces need to stay properly clocked to each other for assembly.
The outside can be turned first, followed by internal and side features in secondary operations. Stainless material selection and surface condition should match the service environment, especially where the housing is exposed to oil, moisture or cleaning.
Dimensions that matter most
Control the internal lobed or keyed profile from the housing axis.
Locate external tabs and slots by angular position, not only by linear dimensions.
If a bearing, seal or motor part seats in the bore, identify that diameter and shoulder as critical.
When you send the RFQ
Provide the motor interface drawing, internal profile data, stainless grade and any sealing or corrosion-resistance requirement.
