Description
Multi-port carbon-steel body with intersecting connections
The component has a compact body with several cylindrical ports arranged at different angles. Parts of this type become difficult when each port is dimensioned independently; the bore intersections, thread axes and mounting face should instead be tied to a clear datum structure.
Features worth separating from cosmetic surfaces
- Define the main mounting face and primary port as the starting datums.
- Call out thread standards, port depths and the angle between intersecting connections.
- If fluid passes through the body, identify the minimum internal opening and any areas that must be free of burrs.
Multiple setups may be needed to reach the side ports, so angular position and workholding references should be considered in the drawing. Internal edges at cross-drilled passages also need controlled deburring.
