These photos were taken in our machining workshop on May 20, 2021. The inspection team was checking a large workpiece using a portable coordinate measuring system.
Moving a heavy component into the inspection room isn't always practical. In this case, bringing the measuring equipment to the part made more sense. It allowed the team to check the required features right where the workpiece was located.
