Description
Stainless clamp geometry for glass mounting
This clamp combines two round stainless contact faces with a central stud and a soft pad between the metal and the glass. The part is compact, but the relationship between the clamp opening, pad position and stud axis is what determines how cleanly it sits in the finished assembly.
Key dimensions to define
Clamp opening and pad thickness need to match the specified glass thickness.
The two contact faces should remain parallel so the load is spread evenly rather than concentrated at one edge.
Stud position, thread details and the visible surface finish should be called out on the drawing.
Machining and finish
The stainless components are turned and machined around the central connection. For exposed hardware, surface appearance matters alongside dimensional fit, so cosmetic faces should be identified separately from hidden or functional surfaces.
For quotation: Send the glass thickness, fastening detail, material grade and the drawing or STEP file. If a gasket or pad is part of the assembly, include its thickness as well.
