A tensile testing machine has recently joined our inspection equipment. It gives us the option to carry out more material-property checks in-house rather than arranging every test elsewhere.
With the right specimens and fixtures, this type of machine can perform tensile, compression and bending tests, among others. The method and results depend on the material and the standard being followed.
